Weapons
Don't expect the Zombie apocalypse to play out like in the movies when it comes to Ireland. We don't have a ready supply of traditional weapons like guns or swords due to moronically short sighted laws, but you can make weapons suitable for the task out of many everyday items.
MultiTool
Multitool isn't really a weapon but it'll do in here for now.
Multitools will prove very useful during savaging expeditions and general maintenance.

Hammers

Hammers make an excellent Zombie weapon, they're a sturdy reliable tool that can easily dispatch a Zombie or help put up defences.
When choosing a hammer ensure you get a good quality solid steal shaft hammer to ensure longevity and reliability. The longer the shaft the better.

Guns

Gun use is not prevalent in Ireland, most firearms out in the public domain are either shotguns or rifles. Only the select members or the Garda and the military will have access to firearms, do not depend on a ready supply of guns during a Zombie outbreak , they will be few and far between.
