Gun use is not prevalent in Ireland, most firearms out in the public domain are either shotguns or rifles. Only the select members or the Garda and the military will have access to firearms, do not depend on a ready supply of guns during a Zombie outbreak , they will be few and far between. It is inadvisable to try and procure weapons from army barracks as they most certainly won't want to share them and you may end up getting shot.

Based on research carried out by the ZDAIRC the ideal gun to have during a zombie outbreak either short or prolonged is a pump action or semi-automatic repeater shotgun for the simple fact that it will be the easiest to source ammunition for.
